Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £25,000
A Business Development Manager is required for a successful construction company to be based from their offices in Bishop’s Stortford. You will be actively promoting and selling services to new and existing clients in order to achieve repeat sales. As well as being responsible for new sales, you must also be an Account Manager for your existing clients and therefore be able to build rapport and monitor feedback from clients on your service and products. Joining a new team within a very established business, you will be responsible for developing close relationships with your clients, spotting business opportunities and up-selling and cross selling where applicable.
Looking after your own diary, you must be well organised and happy to pick up the phone to call clients. You will also be attending corporate social events and networking events so you must enjoy these activities.
To be considered for the Business Development Manager position you should have:
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience in a Sales role
• You must be comfortable generating new business as they are looking more for a hunter than a farmer
• A stable career
• Consultative sales approach
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to cross sell and up-sell
• Ability to analyse data and interpret in order to spot business opportunities
• Strong team player with good work ethics
• Well presented with excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated and ambitious
• Open and honest
• Full Driving Licence
Package:
• £25,000 basic (no commission)
• Non contributory Pension Scheme after successful completion of probationary period
• 22 days holiday + an extra day for your birthday and holiday entitlement increases 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 days
