Meet the Team
Lucy Gilmour - Director
Lucy started her career in recruitment working for an IT Executive Search and Selection firm in London and soon realised that she had found her vocation. Having moved to a large UK wide IT recruitment agency, Lucy progressed to Regional Manager and then moved to a Thames Valley based consultancy where she took on the role of Head of UK Permanent Services. Looking to move back to her native Essex, Lucy then moved sectors and became the Managing Director of an Essex based generalist agency before deciding to set up RecruitAbility with Wendy, in order to service local clients with her recruitment expertise and dedication to quality. Celebrating 20 years in recruitment this year, Lucy has been awarded a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals where she is bound by the code of ethics and is more proof that she is dedicated to quality and professionalism.
Wendy Barriball - Director
Wendy began her career in the HR department of one of the best known high street retailers in Oxford Street. She then spent many years as a PA to Chief Executives in the Stock Broking and Property sectors in the City and therefore knows first hand exactly what it takes to be a successful administrator. Wendy has more recently successfully run her own retail business and decided that to marry these skills with Lucy's recruitment background would make the ideal recipe for the perfect recruitment consultancy.
Laura McBride - Branch Administrator/Director's PA
Laura joined RecruitAbility in 2009 and brings excellent secretarial, administration and creative skills to our organisation. Laura's engaging personality make her an excellent ambassador for RecruitAbility and she will always welcome you to our office with a warm smile and will help you wherever possible as nothing is too much trouble.
